Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robin Carlgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sakari Paasonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paasonen has chosen The Gay Barbie Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Robin Carlgren had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Robin Carlgren looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlgren lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paasonen backs up against the cage.
Paasonen shoots in looking for a takedown. Carlgren tries to sprawl out of it but Paasonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carlgren manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Paasonen looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Carlgren lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Carlgren looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paasonen is fending him off so far but Carlgren persists. Nope, Paasonen circles away and we're back to standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Paasonen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Carlgren off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Carlgren drops back looking for a leg! Paasonen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paasonen manages to kick Carlgren off! Carlgren jumps back into Paasonen's guard.
Paasonen wants to get back to his feet but Carlgren is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Paasonen wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Carlgren is now in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlgren is looking to sinch up a triangle. Paasonen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Carlgren's body to avoid the submission. Carlgren has instead reached around Paasonen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Carlgren arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
