Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Marlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hopsan Barley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marlov comes to the cage accompanied by The Imperial March. Barley has chosen hells bells as his entrance music. Hopsan Barley is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Marlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hopsan Barley!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marlov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barley.
Marlov slaps away a takedown attempt from Barley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marlov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marlov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marlov throws a series of punches but Barley moves out of range.
Yuri Marlov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barley doesn't manage to clinch there - Marlov circles away.
Marlov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barley at a distance.
Marlov fails to land with a series of punches.
Marlov has managed to clinch.
Barley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marlov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Yuri Marlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hopsan Barley.
Marlov tries to break free but Barley pushes him back against the cage.
Marlov blocks an elbow strike from Barley.
Barley goes for a takedown attempt but Marlov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marlov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Marlov is trying to trip Barley. He has hold of a leg but Barley is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Marlov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Barley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Marlov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barley on the ground.
Barley throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Marlov escapes and throws Barley's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Marlov avoids the strikes from the bottom by Barley.
Marlov tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Barley wants to control but Marlov postures up.
Barley is looking to reverse the position.
Marlov wants to control but Barley is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marlov advances nicely into full mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marlov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Marlov wants to control the pace but Barley is squirming around nicely.
Marlov raining down shots from the mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marlov scoring with strikes but Barley is staying in there.
Barley working to try and regain half guard.
Marlov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Barley looks a forlorn figure.
Marlov unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Barley wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Marlov celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Marlov!
