Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guido Allman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Lessa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lessa has chosen Uriah Heep: Easy Livin´ as his entrance music. Paulo Lessa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guido Allman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Lessa!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allman looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lessa keeping moving, preventing Allman from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lessa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Allman slows the pace down in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Allman connects with a nice short shot to Lessa's temple.

Allman wants to work for an arm triangle but Lessa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Allman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lessa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Guido Allman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Allman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Lessa knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Lessa for a finish.

Lessa drops back looking for a leg! Allman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Allman manages to kick Lessa off! Lessa jumps back into Allman's guard.

Allman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Lessa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Allman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Allman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lessa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Allman has managed to get both his arms back between Lessa's legs - danger averted.

Well Allman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
