Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Mandela!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green keeps the fight on the outside.
Green leaves Mandela with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Green tries to clinch there but Mandela circles away.
Mandela keeps the fight on the outside.
Green keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Mandela will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mandela throws a hook but Green avoids it easily.

Mandela dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mandela tries to score a power double leg takedown but Green sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mandela somewhat.
Mandela connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mandela smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Mandela closes the distance looking to clinch
and Green counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mandela thinking.

Green lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mandela backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mandela wants to break the clinch but can't.

Mandela prevents Green from getting back to his feet.
Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mandela's guard.

Green slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mandela really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Green counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Green tries to close the distance and clinch but Mandela swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Green counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mandela is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Green counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Mandela swats away the attempt to clinch by Green.

The fight stays on the outside here - Green looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Green is looking to wear down Mandela with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Mandela counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Green thinking.

and Green holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
