The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
willans shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Galo but Galo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
willans shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horrible takedown by willans or perhaps it was just good defense by Galo which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for pet willans. That's going to take a lot out of him.

willans shoots in looking for a takedown. Galo tries to sprawl out of it but willans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Galo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
willans takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
willans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Galo's waist but Galo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing willans off to one side.
willans dodges the punch combination from Galo.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
willans gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for willans. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Galo throws an overhand right that drops willans like a sack of potatoes! Galo dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
