Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Siegfried Keskimulkku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Siegfried Keskimulkku has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Siegfried Keskimulkku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Reed!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Reed or perhaps it was just good defense by Keskimulkku which made him look bad.
Reed moves out of range of the body kick.
Reed lands a nice looking body shot.
Reed throws a right and a left that Keskimulkku avoids nicely.
Nice body punch from Reed.

Reed shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Reed thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Keskimulkku's head.
Keskimulkku on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Keskimulkku tries to get out of the position.

Reed working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Reed wants to take a breather but Keskimulkku is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

I looks like Reed might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Reed fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Reed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Reed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Keskimulkku swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Reed counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Reed wants to advance to full mount but Keskimulkku doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Reed tries to free his leg and advance position but Keskimulkku is retaining full guard.

Reed throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Reed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Keskimulkku is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reed is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed is looking to work some ground and pound but Keskimulkku has wrist control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Reed stands up and waves to Keskimulkku to follow him.
Keskimulkku stuffs the takedown.
Reed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Keskimulkku defends it nicely.
Siegfried Keskimulkku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Reed.

Keskimulkku throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Reed counters with a shoot takedown. Keskimulkku fights it but they end up in guard.

Reed slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Reed throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Keskimulkku works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Reed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Reed is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Dean Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Reed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Keskimulkku sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Reed counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Keskimulkku counters with a nice body kick.
