Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Get Back. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Silva is just content to waste time from the top position. Chavez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chavez pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chavez is on top in guard.
Chavez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silva wants to stand up but Chavez is controlling him.

Silva is trying to maintain the position but Chavez is very close to passing his half guard.

Chavez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Silva is looking to regain half guard here but Chavez keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Diego Chavez just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Chavez throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Chavez drops his shoulder and cracks Silva with a huge uppercut! Silva goes down! Can Chavez finish him?

Chavez lands with a nice body kick.

Chavez feints a jab and as Silva dips his head, Chavez unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Silva right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Silva falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Chavez smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
