PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Morris Minor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Minor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Minor lands in his opponent's guard.

Swift looking for subs off his back but Minor has passed one foot through into half guard.

Swift wants to get back to full guard but Minor has passed into side control.
Swift is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Minor looking to finish Swift with some ground and pound. This is bad for Swift!
Minor tries to control but Swift wriggling away.
Swift throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Minor lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Swift bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Minor has a hand on Swift's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Swift takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Minor is wriggling around trying to escape.

Swift goes for an armbar but Minor turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Minor.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minor is in close to Swift's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Swift working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Minor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Minor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Minor has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Swift to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Minor is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Swift pulls down on the head and he's put Minor to sleep! This one is all over!
