The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jenkins taking a breather.
Guevara tries to stall but Jenkins uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jenkins wants the takedown. Guevara is fighting it off but Jenkins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Guevara's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jenkins shoots in and bounces Guevara off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Guevara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jenkins wants to control from the top but Guevara keeps moving.

Guevara is striking but Jenkins is not phased and passes to half guard.

Jenkins stalling away here and it's allowed Guevara to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Guevara manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

Guevara got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guevara has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
Guevara wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.

Guevara decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jenkins, up you get!

Guevara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jenkins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jenkins.
Jenkins jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guevara walks away with a smile on his face. Jenkins gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Guevara works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Jenkins counters with a shoot takedown. Guevara fights it but they end up in guard.
