Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nobutaka Hiyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayabie Yamazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiyoshi comes to the cage accompanied by Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter. The crowd seem to be enjoying Yamazaki's choice of entrance music: Heights. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiyoshi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hiyoshi lands with a nice body punch.
Yamazaki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hiyoshi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hiyoshi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hiyoshi wants it to stay on the feet.
A big right from Hiyoshi misses.
Yamazaki on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Ayabie Yamazaki has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yamazaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hiyoshi circles away quickly and effectively.

Hiyoshi forces Yamazaki back against the cage and clinches.
Yamazaki jumps guard but Hiyoshi stands there with Yamazaki around his waist. Yamazaki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nobutaka Hiyoshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ayabie Yamazaki.

Yamazaki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hiyoshi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hiyoshi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hiyoshi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Yamazaki moves forwards but Hiyoshi connects with a nice, crisp jab.

That has opened up Ayabie Yamazaki's cut even more.

Yamazaki has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yamazaki there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hiyoshi is looking to wear down Yamazaki with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Ayabie Yamazaki's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from Hiyoshi. No joy for Yamazaki on that attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hiyoshi is pressed up against the cage. Yamazaki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hiyoshi down to the mat. Hiyoshi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
