Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Halme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Halme! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kerry King! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King drops Halme with a beautiful combination! Halme stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - King is looking for the KO!
It looks like Tony Halme has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! King fails with an attempt to clinch.
Halme keeps the fight on the outside. King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Halme circles away quickly and effectively. King fails in his attempt to clinch. Halme forces King back against the cage and clinches. King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Halme falls off balance throwing a combination
and King counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by King. Halme pushes King back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Halme drags the fight down to the ground.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halme swivels though and keeps the full guard. King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. King thows a big elbow that misses. King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. King postures up and lands a big shot to Halme's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. King wants to pass the guard but Halme is keeping the position. Halme has King pulled in close to control his posture. Halme looking to control.
King wants to stand but Halme has a closed guard, so he can't escape. King thows a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Halme preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. King cracks Halme with a solid left hand. Halme utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. King tries to clinch and Halme counters by moving into the clinch. Halme tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.
King clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halme tries to pull guard but King won't allow it.
King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Halme tries to clinch but King moves out of range. King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Halme's waist but Halme gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side. King looks gassed! Halme shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed Halme's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Halme. That's going to take a lot out of him. King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King darts in trying to clinch and Halme counters with a body kick that stops King in his tracks momentarily. Halme throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by King. King misses with a takedown and Halme counters with a nice double leg into side control. King won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Halme is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. King tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. King is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Halme is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. King looks calm but he's in trouble here. Halme gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. King is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Halme lets go of the hold and King can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tony Halme!
