Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Belezen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Belezen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Malone!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone shoots in for a double leg but Belezen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Malone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Belezen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Belezen wants to get back to his feet but Malone drags him back down.
Malone working away.

Malone tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Malone has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Malone trying to control the action but Belezen is working from the bottom.
Belezen is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Belezen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Belezen lands in his opponent's guard.
Malone is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Belezen works his way to full guard. Good work.

Malone is keen to just control but Belezen is a slippery customer.

Malone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Belezen sees it coming and defends easily.

Malone not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Malone wants to pass the guard but Belezen is defending well.
Belezen is trying to control but can't.
Malone wants to advance to full mount but Belezen doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Belezen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Malone counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Belezen's guard now.
Malone trying to control but Belezen is working from the bottom.

Belezen keeping full guard, as Malone tries to pass.
Belezen keeping moving, preventing Malone from controlling successfully.
Malone missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Malone wants to pass the guard but Belezen is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Belezen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Belezen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Belezen misses with a takedown attempt

and Malone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Belezen won't be happy with that.
Malone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Malone is trying to get an arm triangle but Belezen is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alan Malone dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Belezen fails with a takedown attempt.

Malone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Belezen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Malone won't allow Belezen to get back to his feet.
Belezen keeping full guard, as Malone tries to pass.
Malone is looking to work some ground and pound but Belezen has wrist control.
Belezen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Malone won't allow Belezen to sweep him here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Malone passes Belezen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Malone tries to pass to full mount but Belezen defends it.
Belezen wants to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Malone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Belezen as he jumps to the side.

and Malone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Malone gets to his feet - Belezen follows without any prompting.

Malone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Belezen's guard.
Belezen lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Belezen keeping moving, preventing Malone from controlling successfully.
Belezen can't keep his opponent in guard - Malone advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Belezen is staying active underneath Malone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Malone prevents Belezen from improving his position.
Malone is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Malone wants to control the pace but Belezen is squirming around nicely.
Malone thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Malone tries to control but Belezen wriggling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Belezen is looking to improve his position but Malone isn't that keen on the idea.
Malone has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Belezen's face.
Malone wants to control the pace but Belezen is squirming around nicely.

Malone has hold of Belezen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Belezen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Belezen is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Belezen tries to hold on but Malone postures up.
Belezen is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Malone has taken his back.
You can see the frustration on Belezen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Malone has got one arm under Belezen's chin. This could be trouble... Belezen trying to control the other hand but Malone gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Belezen has tapped out! The fight is over!
