PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Nazarett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacharius Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazarett comes into the arena with Eye Of The Tiger blaring out of the sound system. Zacharius Pendragon looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nazarett is looking to clinch.

Pendragon moves into the clinch successfully.
Pendragon stops a takedown attempt from Nazarett.
Nazarett tries to pull guard but Pendragon holds him up against the cage and eventually Nazarett drops back down to his feet.
Nazarett is working for takedown but Pendragon is calmly controlling the position for now.

Pendragon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nazarett can't fight it off and eventually Pendragon manages to take the fight to the floor. Nazarett looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nazarett is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pendragon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nazarett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pendragon sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pendragon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nazarett is proving hard to escape from.
Pendragon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nazarett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nazarett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pendragon manages to get himself to full guard.

and Pendragon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nazarett's guard.

Nazarett is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pendragon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nazarett to the mat. Nazarett regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Nazarett closes the distance and clinches up with Pendragon, looking for a takedown. Nazarett pushes Pendragon against the cage but Pendragon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pendragon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pendragon manages to end up in side control.
Nazarett is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pendragon off and has taken his back!
