The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mean misses with a takedown attempt - Wood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wood throws a sloppy head kick and Mean moves out of range easily.
Mean tries for a takedown but Wood sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wood lands a nice looking body shot.

Wood instigates a clinch.
Mean fails to pull guard.

Mean shoots in looking for a takedown. Wood tries to sprawl out of it but Mean keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mean tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Wood escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mean looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wood is fending him off so far but Mean persists. Nope, Wood circles away and we're back to standing.

Wood clinches up against the cage.

Wood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wood jabs at Mean's body.
Wood stuffs the takedown attempt from Mean. Mean gets slowly back to his feet.
Wood cracks the inside of Mean's front leg.
Wood scores with a one two! Mean had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

A head kick misses from Wood.

Wood gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Wood breaks from the clinch.

Wood lands a big head kick that sends Mean tumbling to the mat! Wood takes a step backwards and waves Mean back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Mean is rocked!
Wood lands a jab to Mean's midsection.
Mean is still on wobbly legs! Can Wood finish him?
Wood throws a quick inside leg kick.
Mean seems to have recovered his senses.
Wood circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Mean drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Wood follows Mean to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
