Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy McGreggor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clayton comes to the cage accompanied by Hero. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGreggor tries for a takedown but Clayton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by McGreggor.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Clayton is not content to let McGreggor control the position.
Clayton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McGreggor off and has taken his back!
McGreggor breaks Clayton's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

McGreggor shoots in for a double leg but Clayton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Clayton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGreggor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McGreggor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Clayton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McGreggor somewhat.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGreggor is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Clayton is defending well for now.

Clayton jumps guard and drags McGreggor to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

McGreggor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
