Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mic Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mornington Crescent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mic Swick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mornington Crescent!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swick misses with a two punch combination.
Swick misses with a jab, cross combination.
Swick darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Swick scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Swick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Crescent throws an overhand right that lands on Swick's shoulder, as Swick tries to avoid the shot.

Crescent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Swick to the mat! Swick manages to get full guard.
Crescent trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Swick wants to stand but Crescent is controlling the position.
Swick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crescent on the ground.
Crescent passes Swick's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Swick wants to get back to his feet.

Swick tries to kick Crescent off but Crescent keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Crescent tries to pass to full mount but Swick defends it.

Crescent is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Swick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crescent.
Swick wants to stand back up but Crescent manages to pass into side control.
Swick dodges the ground and pound from Crescent.
Swick is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Swick wants to get back to his feet.
Crescent winds up and cracks Swick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Crescent throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Crescent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Swick is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Crescent lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Crescent is nestled in close to Swick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Swick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Crescent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Swick moves away.
Crescent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swick paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Crescent takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Swick lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Swick.
Crescent avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crescent throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Swick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crescent.
Swick swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Crescent shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Swick manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Crescent is in close to Swick's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Crescent is looking to work some ground and pound but Swick has wrist control.

Crescent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crescent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Swick is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crescent is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crescent is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Swick is positioning himself well to prevent Crescent advancing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mornington Crescent will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A punch lands to the side of Crescent 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Crescent gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Mic Swick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Crescent holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Crescent tries to pull guard but Swick holds him up against the cage and eventually Crescent drops back down to his feet.
Crescent has Swick pressed against the cage, preventing Swick from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Crescent prevents Swick from breaking the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Crescent.

Crescent has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Swick uses from the top position.

Crescent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Swick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Swick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Crescent bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Swick's guard.
Crescent tries to free his leg and advance position but Swick is retaining full guard.
Swick pulls Crescent in close to prevent any damage.
Crescent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Swick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Swick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Swick tries to get out of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Swick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crescent.
Swick throws a body punch but Crescent moves out of range.
Crescent shoots in for a takedown but Swick shows good takedown defense.
Crescent slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Crescent shoots in but Swick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mic Swick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mornington Crescent.
Swick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Swick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Crescent stands up over Swick, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Swick wants to stand and escape but Crescent is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Swick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mornington Crescent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Crescent closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Crescent is looking for a kimura but Swick is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Crescent to get the leverage.
Swick wants to get back to his feet.
Crescent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

I've got Crescent winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
