Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabe Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gretzky is trying to get back to full guard.
Gretzky blocking the ground and pound attempt from Daniels.
Gretzky flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gretzky on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Daniels thows a huge punch but Gretzky dodges it nicely.
Gretzky actively working from the bottom here.
Gretzky is looking to improve his position.
Daniels lands strikes from half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gretzky leaves Daniels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gretzky misses with a straight right.
Daniels fails with a takedown attempt.
Daniels closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gretzky did well to prevent Daniels getting side control.
Gretzky throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gretzky is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daniels's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daniels's back!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Daniels is trapped and Gretzky is scoring with shots to the head and body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Daniels looks gassed!
Gretzky scores with punches and elbows.
Gretzky scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Daniels is looking for a way out.
Gretzky controlling well, preventing Daniels from escaping the position.
Gretzky punishes Daniels with strikes from the back mount.
Gretzky connects with a big shot to the side of Daniels's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gretzky is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Daniels has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Gretzky has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Daniels taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Gretzky doesn't care though - he's delighted!
