The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
tomkins leaves Rock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
tomkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Rock.
tomkins stuffs the takedown.
tomkins misses with a few strikes there.
Rock misses with a wild combination.
tomkins throws a head kick but Rock moves out of range.
tomkins looks for the body kick but Rock saw that one coming.
Rock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but tomkins swivels and escapes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
tomkins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rock manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. tomkins is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take tomkins's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

tomkins closes the distance and clinches up with Rock, looking for a takedown. tomkins pushes Rock against the cage but Rock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

You get the feeling that Rock really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Rock is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, tomkins has taken his back.
