Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clint Eastwood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur The King!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The King keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The King misses with a body shot.
Decent striking displayed by The King there.
Eastwood will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The King will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Eastwood scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Arthur The King has been cut.
The King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Eastwood avoids it really well and circles away.
Clint Eastwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur The King.

The King is looking to stall here but Eastwood recovers full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The King postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eastwood works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The King looks for a takedown but Eastwood sprawls well.
Eastwood throws a right and a left that The King avoids nicely.

Donk. Eastwood catches The King right on the button with a cross.
The King throws a nice looking combination but Eastwood bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Eastwood moves in looking to clinch but The King pushes him off.

The King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Eastwood sprawls well. Eastwood wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The King gets slowly back to his feet.

Eastwood wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Eastwood takes an elbow to the forehead.

The King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

You can see the frustration on Eastwood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Eastwood wants to get back to his feet but The King drags him back down.
Eastwood is trying to control The King's posture but The King avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Clint Eastwood will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eastwood as he avoids it easily.

Eastwood lunges at The King with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by The King's hand.
Eastwood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The King moves away.

The King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Eastwood can't do much from the bottom here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Eastwood is pushing The King's head away, looking to escape. The King manages to hold on to the position though.
The ground and pound from The King seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Eastwood is trying to get back to his feet.
The King remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The King wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eastwood, who protects the arm well.

The King is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eastwood is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The King looks up at the clock and then as Eastwood takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, The King smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Eastwood wants to get back to his feet.
The King remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

and Eastwood counters with a two punch combo.

Eastwood might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The King is just content to waste time from the top position. Eastwood takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The King has gone for a leg lock! Eastwood slips out almost immediately though and dives into The King's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Eastwood looking to sit in guard and control but The King gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eastwood wants to clinch.
The King shoots for a takedown but Eastwood saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The King scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Eastwood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The King perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Eastwood tries to kick The King off but The King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The King lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The King misses with a head shot. Eastwood uses the momentum to regain guard.

Arthur The King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The King has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
