Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shawn Kingman!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingman throws a sloppy head kick and Carroll moves out of range easily.
Kingman moves out of range of the strikes.

Carroll gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A frustrated look appears on Carroll's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kingman manages to break the clinch.
Carroll misses with a series of wild punches.

Kingman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carroll as he avoids it easily.
Carroll scores with a one two! Kingman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kingman is looking to clinch but Carroll is avoiding it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kingman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Carroll counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carroll.

Kingman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shawn Kingman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Carroll throws a right hand that Kingman ducks under and follows up with a left that Kingman also avoids with ease.
Kingman moves in looking to clinch but Carroll pushes him off.
Kingman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carroll pinned against the cage. Carroll gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kingman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kingman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kingman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kingman tries for a takedown but Carroll sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Carroll counters with a series of strikes. Kingman will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Carroll counters with a left and a right that stings Kingman.

Carroll throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kingman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ian Carroll is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Carroll, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice defenses there by Kingman.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kingman wants to clinch up but Carroll keeps it at a distance.
Carroll is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Kingman clinches but Carroll breaks the clinch
and Carroll counters with a three punch combo that has Kingman backing up. Kingman nods at Carroll to acknowledge the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A telegraphed right hand from Carroll misses the target.
Kingman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carroll sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Carroll really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ian Carroll showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Carroll has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
