The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Henry circles away quickly and effectively.
Overeem scores with a nice head shot.
Henry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A big right from Henry misses.
Thierry Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Overeem lands with a nice combination. Henry backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Overeem stalks Henry and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Henry's face. Henry staggers backwards, shaken.
Henry avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A jab from Overeem misses.
Henry misses with a body shot.
Overeem misses the shot to the body.
Henry lands with a shot to the body.
Overeem throws a shot to the body.
Overeem misses with a double jab.
Henry throws a sloppy head kick and Overeem moves out of range easily.
Overeem ducks under a wild hook from Henry.
Henry takes a jab right on the kisser.
Overeem thuds a left hand into Henry's body.
Henry is breathing heavily.
Henry throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Overeem lands a big head kick that sends Henry tumbling to the mat! Overeem takes a step backwards and waves Henry back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Henry is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Overeem drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Henry's head, knocking him out cold! Overeem is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
