Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in and drives through. Gapuz sprawls well.
Gapuz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smith tries for a takedown but Gapuz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gapuz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Smith in side control, throwing shots but Gapuz defends.
Smith is looking to take a break and control but Gapuz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gapuz is looking to reverse the position.
Gapuz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Smith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Gapuz. Gapuz gets slowly back to his feet.
Gapuz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gapuz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Smith yanks on the arm and Gapuz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Smith.
