Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Cozart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Composure-August Burns Red. Cozart has chosen H-Bomb - Nightmare as his entrance music. Josh Cozart has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Johnny Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Cozart! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cozart gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Johnson content to stall in guard here. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cozart is keeping the position for now. Johnson preventing the sweep. Johnson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cozart controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself. Johnson trying to control but Cozart is working from the bottom. Cozart wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cozart looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range. Cozart shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Johnson has his foot on Cozart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cozart works his way back into a safe position though. Cozart throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cozart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cozart trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Cozart loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cozart can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cozart ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Johnson is breathing heavily. Cozart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.
It looks like Johnny Johnson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cozart scores with a jab to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cozart throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Cozart finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cozart landing with the ground and pound. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Cozart from controlling successfully. Cozart is in close to Johnson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cozart defends well. Cozart stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cozart is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cozart trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cozart lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cozart walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Johnson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Cozart looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range. Cozart swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cozart lands a left and a right that send Johnson crashing to the mat, dazed. Cozart thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cozart misses the shot to the body. Cozart scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Josh Cozart seems to be getting the better of the standup. Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cozart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cozart throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cozart lands a with a good body shot. Cozart throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cozart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Johnson! Cozart has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Johnson's face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries to hold on but Cozart pushes him away. Johnson can't escape the position.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Cozart's attempts to control the action. Cozart working away from the top, dropping strikes. Cozart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cozart raining down shots from the mount! Cozart thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to control but Cozart is having none of it. Cozart is in the full mount, landing strikes. Cozart cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cozart lands a nice shot to the head. Cozart in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Cozart has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cozart cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cozart lands a big shot there that rocks Johnson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cozart landing strikes from the mount and Johnson is in trouble! Cozart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Josh Cozart has got the better of the ground game so far. Cozart with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cozart with the ground and pound from mount. Johnson is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Cozart scoring with strikes but Johnson is staying in there. Johnson wants to hold on but Cozart pushes him away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Cozart lands a heavy elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Cozart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Johnny Johnson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Cozart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cozart wants to get up but he can't break Johnson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cozart postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Cozart pushing down on Johnson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cozart working Johnson over with strikes. Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cozart pulls his head out easily. Cozart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Cozart pushes past his half guard into mount! Johnson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Cozart manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cozart lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Johnson hang on? Cozart fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
