Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Bingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Skillett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skillett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The stroke - billy squire. Sam Skillett has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan Bingham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Skillett!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skillett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Skillett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bingham's hands.
Skillett cracks Bingham with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Skillett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bingham takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bingham jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Skillett misses with a series of wild punches.

Bingham changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Skillett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bingham lands a decent elbow from side control.

Bingham wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Skillett, who protects the arm well.
Bingham prevents Skillett from escaping the position.
Bingham misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Skillett pushes Bingham away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bingham gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bingham gets to mount! Skillett was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Skillett tries to lock up and control but Bingham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bingham swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Skillett is now in Bingham's guard. A big mistake from Bingham there, giving up the dominant position!

Bingham scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Skillett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bingham.
Bingham misses with a series of wild punches.
Skillett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bingham checks a leg kick.
Skillett moves away from the strike by Bingham.
Skillett scores with a one two! Bingham had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Skillett misses with a low kick.
Skillett cracks Bingham with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Skillett shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bingham counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Skillett avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bingham.

Bingham wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Skillett, who protects the arm well.
Bingham moves into full mount!

Bingham landing punches.
Bingham with a couple of short strikes.
Skillett tries to improve his position but instead Bingham has taken his back!

Bingham is persistently looking for the submission but Skillett is defending it well.
Bingham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Skillett tries to escape but Bingham has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Skillett has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bingham lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Bingham has the hooks in. Skillett is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Skillett holding both Bingham 's hands and preventing any damage.

Bingham looking to break Skillett's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Skillett remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Bingham will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bingham looks to land a right hand but Skillett moved out of range.
Skillett lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ethan Bingham is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A nice combination there by Skillett.
Skillett bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bingham's head backwards.
Skillett swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bingham counters with a left to the body.

Bingham wants to clinch.
Skillett throws a hook but Bingham blocks it.
Sam Skillett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Bingham decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Skillett's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bingham drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bingham jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Skillett has his foot on Bingham's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bingham works his way back into a safe position though.
Skillett is breathing heavily.
Bingham slips nicely into half guard.

Bingham decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

and Bingham holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bingham jumps guard and drags Skillett to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Skillett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bingham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bingham is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Skillett is controlling him.

Bingham has his feet on Skillett's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Bingham is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bingham has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bingham there as he acknowledges the shot.
Skillett is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Skillett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Skillett lands a nice shot to the body.

Bingham manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Skillett wants to stand and escape but instead Bingham has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bingham has gone for a leg lock! Skillett slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bingham's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ethan Bingham will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bingham has taken the fight to the clinch.
Skillett wants to break the clinch but can't.

Bingham gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Skillett is trying to stand back up but Bingham is controlling him
Bingham thows a huge punch but Skillett dodges it nicely.
Bingham stops Skillett from getting back to his feet.
Skillett tries to kick Bingham off in order to stand up. Bingham Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Bingham lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Skillett down.
Skillett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bingham tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bingham sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Skillett is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bingham decides to stand up, so the ref orders Skillett to his feet.
No joy there for Skillett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bingham throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A jab from Skillett finds it's way through Bingham's defenses.

and Bingham counters by clinching up.
Skillett wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bingham has him pressed against the cage.

Skillett wanted to stand there but Bingham had control of the position.

Bingham kicks Skillett off and gets to his feet.
A left lands for Bingham.
Skillett throws a sloppy head kick

and Bingham moves into the clinch.
Skillett tries to break the clinch but Bingham is controlling the position.
Skillett tries to break free but Bingham pushes him back against the cage.
Skillett lands a nice uppercut.
Skillett lands with a left to the head.

Bingham throws a punch but it's blocked by Skillett.
Bingham has Skillett pressed against the cage, preventing Skillett from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bingham is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Skillett pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Skillett tries to break the clinch but Bingham is controlling the position.

Bingham pulls guard effortlessly.
Bingham wants to get back to his feet but Skillett is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Skillett decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bingham looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bingham clinches up with Skillett and pushes him back against the cage.
Sam Skillett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bingham tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Skillett just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Bingham. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Skillett goes for a takedown attempt but Bingham pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Skillett looks to land a combination but Bingham avoids it well.
Skillett has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Ethan Bingham is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Bingham holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bingham, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
