Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ken Conlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Sweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conlin comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem The Way I Am. Sweeney has chosen Jesus Walks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ken Conlin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brock Sweeney's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Sweeney!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conlin misses with a jab, cross combination.

Conlin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Conlin is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Conlin lands with a punch from half guard.
Sweeney is not content to let Conlin control the position.
Conlin slows the pace down in half guard.

Conlin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Conlin trying to control the action but Sweeney is working from the bottom.

Conlin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sweeney rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Conlin's guard! Nice work there by Sweeney!

Sweeney with a flurry of punches that miss.
Sweeney postures up in Conlin's guard and throws a big left but Conlin blocks it.
Sweeney throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Conlin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Conlin pushes Sweeney off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Conlin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sweeney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Conlin sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sweeney gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Conlin counters with a left and a right that stings Sweeney.
Conlin misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conlin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Conlin is looking to take a break and control but Sweeney is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Conlin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Sweeney is avoiding damage well.

Sweeney tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Conlin presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Conlin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sweeney is surviving well by controlling Conlin's body position as best he can.

Conlin has control of Sweeney's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sweeney regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sweeney is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Conlin cracks Sweeney with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conlin looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Conlin thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sweeney is trying to escape the mount.
Sweeney wants to control but Conlin is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sweeney is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Conlin is staying active.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Conlin is keen to just control but Sweeney is a slippery customer.
Conlin tries to stand and escape but Sweeney is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sweeney tries for a takedown but Conlin circles away easily
and Conlin counters with a two punch combo.
Conlin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sweeney's waist but Sweeney gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Conlin off to one side.

Conlin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sweeney was covering up waiting for the punch and Conlin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Conlin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Brock Sweeney has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Conlin is looking to work some ground and pound but Sweeney has wrist control.
Conlin wants to control from the top but Sweeney keeps moving.
Conlin wants to pass the guard but Sweeney is keeping the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sweeney is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Conlin throws and elbow that misses. Sweeney uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Conlin's guard. Nice move by Sweeney!

Ken Conlin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Conlin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Conlin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Conlin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
