Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Mondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Bigsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bigsby has chosen Its A Fight as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Mondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rafael Bigsby!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mondo has closed the distance and engaged Bigsby in a clinch.

Mondo breaks from the clinch.
Bigsby tries a head kick but it misses.

Bigsby throws a nice outside leg kick.

Mondo forces Bigsby back against the cage and clinches.

Mondo pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mondo keeping moving, preventing Bigsby from controlling successfully.
Bigsby stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mondo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bigsby missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mondo trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bigsby tries for a takedown but Mondo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mondo moves in looking to clinch but Bigsby pushes him off.
Bigsby thuds his shin into the meat of Mondo's side.

and Bigsby counters with a head kick.

Bigsby gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mondo stands up and waves to Bigsby to follow him.

Mondo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mondo showed some decent athleticism there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bigsby can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mondo is trying to control the action in half guard but Bigsby is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bigsby moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bigsby utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Mondo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bigsby dives on top into guard.
Mondo is breathing heavily.
Mondo wants to stand but Bigsby is controlling the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mondo wants to sweep but no luck.

Mondo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bigsby doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bigsby manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bigsby has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mondo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bigsby is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mondo pulls down on the head and he's put Bigsby to sleep! This one is all over!
