Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Maia!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buendia circles away.
Buendia keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Maia shoots for a takedown but Buendia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jose Buendia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia.
Buendia throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Maia looks gassed!
Maia blocks a head kick by Buendia.
Buendia misses with the combination.
Demian Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buendia as he jumps to the side.
Maia is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Buendia.

It looks like Demian Maia has been cut.

Buendia closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Buendia controlling the action here for a moment.

Buendia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Buendia lands a big head kick that sends Maia tumbling to the mat! Buendia takes a step backwards and waves Maia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Maia is rocked!

Maia tries to get into range but Buendia steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Maia! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Buendia scores the big KO victory!
