Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Parts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parts dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Parts lands a slapping body shot.
Parts looks for a takedown but Bernie sprawls well.
Parts lands with a nice body punch.
Parts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bernie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parts somewhat.
Some bone on bone action there as Parts checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Parts misses with a takedown attempt - Bernie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bernie is working for a submission of some sort.
Bernie stalling away here and it's allowed Parts to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Parts bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Parts is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Parts is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Bernie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Parts has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Parts!
Bernie is breathing heavily.

Bernie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parts's guard.
Bernie is looking to stand up but Parts won't let him.
Parts is looking to stand up but Bernie isn't so interested in that idea.

Parts scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Parts's corner calls for a 1-2. Parts obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Bernie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Bernie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bernie wants to advance to full mount but Parts doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Chris Parts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Parts uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Parts is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bernie's half guard.
Bernie wants to improve his position but Parts is controlling well.
Parts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bernie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bernie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Parts is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Parts looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bernie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bernie is looking to control Parts's arms but Parts gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bernie has his back to the cage.

Bernie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Parts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bernie.
