The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cowell is defended easily by Cazares.
Cazares throws a head kick that misses.
Cowell dodges the punch combination from Cazares.
Cazares displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cowell.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cowell.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Cowell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cazares stuffs the takedown.
Cowell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Anderson Cowell has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cazares misses with a two punch combination.
Cazares tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cowell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cazares lands a brutal head kick. Cowell looks out on his feet and Cazares throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
