The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Down.
Irby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Irby uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Down.
Irby throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Down closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Down lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
