The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon tries to clinch but mccabe moves out of range.
Pendragon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but mccabe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pendragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
mccabe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pendragon pinned against the cage. Pendragon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pendragon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and mccabe counters with a low kick, right behind Pendragon 's knee.
mccabe slips under a jab.
Pendragon moves in looking to clinch but mccabe pushes him off.
Pendragon clinches but mccabe breaks the clinch
and mccabe counters with a nice kick to the body.

mccabe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pendragon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
mccabe pulls Pendragon in to control the position.

Pendragon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mccabe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
mccabe is controlling Pendragon's posture.
