The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slanski swings for the body but Lemos moves out of range.
Lemos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slanski manages to avoid it.
Slanski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lemos avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Lemos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Slanski throws a head kick but Lemos moves out of range.

Slanski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Slanski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Lucas Lemos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Slanski tried to score with a low kick but Lemos checks it.
Lemos is looking to wear down Slanski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lemos throws a series of punches but Slanski avoids them all with ease.
Lemos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lemos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Slanski scores with a takedown into Lemos's guard.
Slanski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lemos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Slanski passes Lemos's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lemos is breathing heavily.
Slanski perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Let's hope that Slanski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Lemos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slanski is working away from the top position though.

Slanski works his foot free and advances to mount.
Lemos has given up his back here. Will Slanski look for the submission or keep pounding away?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slanski is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lemos is defending well though. Slanski let's go of the attempt for now.
