PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chumbo Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Physcotic Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assassin has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Chumbo Banks could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to The Physcotic Assassin's chin.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assassin keeps the fight on the outside.
Banks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Banks is defended easily by Assassin.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Assassin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Banks escapes and gets back to his feet.

Banks shoots in and bounces Assassin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Banks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Assassin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Banks has managed to get both his arms back between Assassin's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Assassin tries to roll over but Banks keeps him under control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Banks is looking to slow Assassin down with leg kicks.

Banks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chumbo Banks will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
