Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zinaldo Bombado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Coleman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zinaldo Bombado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coleman's waist but Coleman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bombado off to one side.
Bombado tries for a takedown but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bombado shoots in but Coleman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zinaldo Bombado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Bombado. Bombado gets slowly back to his feet.
Coleman swats away the attempt to clinch by Bombado.
Bombado fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coleman avoids it really well and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bombado is working hard here to advance position.
Coleman trying to control but Bombado is having none of it.
Coleman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bombado's half guard.
Coleman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bombado's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Coleman uses his free foot to push down on Bombado's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bombado.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Coleman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Coleman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well Coleman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
