Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by I Stand Alone. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanchez was covering up waiting for the punch and McDonald finishes the takedown easily into guard.

McDonald shoots in but Sanchez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

McDonald changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanchez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanchez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanchez got a little sloppy there for a moment and McDonald has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanchez has managed to get both his arms back between McDonald's legs - danger averted.

McDonald has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sanchez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McDonald.

I would just about give that final round to Rico Sanchez.
