Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janors Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mohammad hussain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). hussain has chosen ahhhh as his entrance music. mohammad hussain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hussain throws a quick inside leg kick.

hussain has Kowalski up against the cage in a clinch.
hussain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kowalski pulls his leg out and moves away.
hussain circles away from the clinch attempt
and hussain counters with a series of strikes. Kowalski will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kowalski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

hussain has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kowalski wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

hussain pulls guard effortlessly.
hussain wants to sweep but no luck.
Kowalski is looking to work some ground and pound but hussain has wrist control.
Kowalski is breathing heavily.
hussain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
hussain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

hussain decides to stand and escape the position.
Horrible takedown by hussain or perhaps it was just good defense by Kowalski which made him look bad.
Janors Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mohammad hussain.

so hussain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

hussain stands up from guard. Let's bang!
hussain shoots in for a double leg but Kowalski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kowalski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from hussain.

and hussain counters with a shoot takedown. Kowalski fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
hussain is standing up over Kowalski. Kowalski looks to escape but hussain dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

hussain decides to stand back up. hussain steps back and let's Kowalski get back to his feet.

Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt

and hussain counters with a nice double leg into guard.

hussain stands up from Kowalski's guard - hussain perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kowalski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
hussain slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kowalski wants to take a breather but hussain is having none of it.
hussain is trying to get back to full guard.
Kowalski throws a strike but hussain avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Kowalski is looking to work some ground and pound but hussain has wrist control.
hussain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

hussain has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kowalski off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Kowalski misses with a body punch

and hussain counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kowalski is pressed up against the cage. hussain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kowalski down to the mat. Kowalski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

hussain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Kowalski is looking to improve his position but hussain isn't that keen on the idea.
hussain won't let Kowalski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kowalski wants to control but hussain is having none of it.

hussain has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kowalski defend it? hussain steps over the head and cranks it - Kowalski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for hussain!
