Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jebidiah Knepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nemean Athos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knepp comes into the arena with Amish Paradise blaring out of the sound system. Athos has chosen Thundercats as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knepp drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Knepp is stalling in the full guard.
Athos controlling the position.
Athos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Athos keeping moving, preventing Knepp from controlling successfully.
Knepp missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Athos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knepp is one step ahead there.
Knepp is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Athos is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Athos has escaped and now he's on top!

Knepp is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Athos passes Knepp's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Athos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knepp wants to improve his position but Athos is controlling well.
Knepp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Athos is working away from the top position though.
Athos controlling the action here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Knepp looking for submissions off his back.
Knepp looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Athos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Knepp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Athos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Knepp fails to land the takedown.
Knepp shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Athos as he jumps to the side.
A solid leg kick lands there for Athos.
Knepp fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jebidiah Knepp. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knepp dives in and grabs Athos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Athos pushes down on Knepp's head and hops out.
Knepp is breathing heavily.
Nice shot by Athos.
Nemean Athos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Athos scores with a hook to the body. Knepp takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Knepp on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Athos. Athos obviously looking to wear him down.
Athos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Athos lands a hook that stumbles Knepp back into the cage. Athos follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Knepp to the canvas! Athos pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Knepp has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
