The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khomeini shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blisner defends it nicely.
Khomeini misses with a takedown attempt - Blisner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Blisner misses with a hook.

Blisner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Khomeini was covering up waiting for the punch and Blisner finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Blisner stands up and waves to Khomeini to follow him.

Kirk Blisner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mahmud Khomeini.

Blisner throws a series of punches but Khomeini moves out of range.
Blisner lands a big head kick that sends Khomeini to the canvas! Blisner follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
