Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nauricio Rua!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Morton is refusing to be controlled, as Rua sits in half guard.
Rua seems to be looking for submissions.
Rua is looking to advance position but Morton won't allow it.
Rua is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Morton has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rua is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morton is just riding it out for now. Rua eventually gives up the hold.

Morton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Morton takes a swing at Rua's ribcage but misses.
Rua shoots in for a takedown but Morton shows good takedown defense.
Rua keeps the fight on the outside.
Morton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rua looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Carl Morton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nauricio Rua.

Morton gets caught flat footed, as Rua shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Morton is breathing heavily.
Morton seems keen to control Rua's posture.

Rua is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Morton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Morton has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Morton controls Rua momentarily but Rua frees himself.
Rua drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rua seems to have locked his on tight now - Morton screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rua, as he picks up the win!
