The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barbosa.
Barbosa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crusher doesn't seem bothered though.
Barbosa fails with a takedown attempt.
Barbosa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crusher tries to avoid it but Barbosa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crusher to the ground. Crusher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kid Crusher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Barbosa.
Barbosa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crusher.
Barbosa closes the distance and clinches up with Crusher, looking for a takedown. Barbosa pushes Crusher against the cage but Crusher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Barbosa moves in looking to clinch but Crusher pushes him off.
Barbosa closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Crusher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Crusher keeps the fight on the outside.
Barbosa lands a really nice looking cross but Crusher seems unphased.
Barbosa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crusher pinned against the cage. Crusher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Barbosa tries to clinch there but Crusher circles away.
Crusher blocks a head kick by Barbosa.

Crusher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Barbosa has his foot on Crusher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crusher works his way back into a safe position though.
Crusher is fighting to break Barbosa's control of his arms but Barbosa is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Barbosa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crusher controls the pace.

Crusher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barbosa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Crusher lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

A lull in the action here as Crusher stalls from top position.
Crusher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Crusher is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barbosa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barbosa is trying to get back to half guard.

Crusher shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barbosa napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crusher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Barbosa for as long as he can get away with.

and Crusher counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Barbosa's guard now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Barbosa tries to lock up and control but Crusher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BOOM! Crusher connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Barbosa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Crusher has hold of Barbosa's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barbosa manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Barbosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crusher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crusher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
