Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boomer Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin comes to the cage accompanied by Russian National Anthem. Douglas has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karelin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Karelin wants to clinch up but Douglas keeps it at a distance.

Douglas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Karelin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Karelin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Karelin is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Douglas is hurt! He's hurt bad - Karelin fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Douglas from any more punishment! Congratulations to Karelin! Great finish!
