Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aries Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Lets Do it by waka flocka flame. Nelson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Another One Bites the Dust. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shoots in but Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nelson walks into a jab.

Nelson moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Santos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nelson.
Nelson looks for a takedown but Santos sprawls well.
A left and a right from Santos both land. Nice combination.
Santos throws out a loose jab but Nelson uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Santos cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nelson is desperately trying to improve his position but Santos has a good base and remains in mount.
Nelson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Nelson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Santos scores with a couple of nice shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santos looks to land a strike but Nelson avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nelson pulls Santos in close to prevent any damage.
Santos throws a strike but Nelson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round but I would say that Aries Santos will probably get the nod.

Nelson is cranking Santos's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Santos! He's tightened the choke and Santos is tapping out!
