Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hammond Chese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Leer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leer has chosen Disturbed - Droppin Plates as his entrance music. Hammond Chese has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chese tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Leer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chese is fending him off so far but Leer persists. Nope, Chese circles away and we're back to standing.
Leer takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Leer shoots in for a takedown but Chese shows good takedown defense.
Leer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chese is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chese uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leer.
Leer dives in and grabs Chese's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chese pushes down on Leer's head and hops out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chese got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chese has managed to get both his arms back between Leer's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chese accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chese gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Chese closes the distance and pushes Leer back into the cage.

That was a close round but Hammond Chese did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
