The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

booker drives through with a takedown into guard.

booker stands up and waves to Sandwich to follow him.
Sandwich tries to clinch there but booker circles away.
Sandwich fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sandwich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sandwich moves in looking to clinch but booker pushes him off.
booker lands with a shot to the body.

Sandwich closes the distance and clinches.
Sandwich has booker pressed against the cage, preventing booker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sandwich tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sandwich gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from booker.
booker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

booker tries to pull guard but Sandwich holds him up against the cage and eventually booker drops back down to his feet.

Kak Sandwich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
booker throws an overhand right that lands on Sandwich's shoulder, as Sandwich tries to avoid the shot.
booker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
booker dives in and grabs Sandwich's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sandwich pushes down on booker's head and hops out.

and booker counters by clinching up.
Sandwich gets underhooks to prevent booker's takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

booker decides to pull guard.
Sandwich has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of booker is proving hard to escape from.

booker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sandwich's half guard.
Sandwich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with booker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
