The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McPlum pinned against the cage. McPlum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McPlum shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Spencer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McPlum ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spencer moves away.
No joy there for McPlum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spencer takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McPlum lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McPlum throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Spencer counters with a three punch combo that has McPlum backing up. McPlum nods at Spencer to acknowledge the strikes.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

I would just about give that final round to Frank McPlum.
Well McPlum has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
