Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derek Hui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dog Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hui doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hui looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alpha is fending him off so far but Hui persists. Nope, Alpha circles away and we're back to standing.

Alpha drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hui is trying to control the position but Alpha postures up.
Alpha advances position into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hui manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hui postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alpha is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hui, into his guard.
Hui seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Alpha seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
I looks like Alpha might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Alpha is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Alpha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dog Alpha just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Alpha counters with a single leg into guard. Hui didn't expect that.

Alpha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Alpha gets to his feet - Hui follows without any prompting.

Well Alpha has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
