Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryan Briston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Samuel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Samuel gets the takedown into side control.
Briston on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Briston tries to get out of the position.
Samuel controls the position.
Samuel throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Samuel working the head and body with strikes.

Samuel has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Briston stuffs the takedown.
Samuel fails with a takedown attempt.
Briston throws a head kick but Samuel moves out of range.
Briston fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Samuel is looking to chop away at Briston's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Briston looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Samuel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Samuel showed some decent athleticism there.

Samuel stands up and beckons Briston to join him on the feet.
Briston moves out of range as Samuel strikes.
Samuel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Samuel wants to clinch up but Briston keeps it at a distance.
Briston misses with an attempted mid kick.

Briston has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Samuel just leaning against Briston, taking a breather.

Samuel manages to break the clinch.
Samuel walks into a jab.


It looks like Jon Samuel has been cut.
Samuel misses with a takedown

and Briston counters with a takedown into side control.
Bryan Briston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Samuel.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Samuel struggling a bit here.

Briston decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Briston defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Samuel.
Briston with a poor takedown

and Samuel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Samuel with a flurry of punches that miss.
Briston is adopting a defensive guard.
Samuel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Samuel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Briston is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Samuel off and has taken his back!
Briston scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Samuel tries to roll but Briston sticks to his back.
Samuel breaks Briston's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Samuel prevents Briston from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Samuel wants to control from the top but Briston keeps moving.
Briston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Samuel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Samuel trying to control the position from guard on top but Briston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Samuel won't allow Briston to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bryan Briston will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jon Samuel's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Samuel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Briston counters with a crisp right that sends Samuel to the canvas! Briston follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryan Briston!
