Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Darren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hasan husssain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Darren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, hasan husssain!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
husssain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Darren circles away quickly and effectively.

husssain shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Darren napping and manages to drive through into side control!
husssain looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Darren is avoiding damage well.
Darren takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

husssain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Darren, who protects the arm well.
husssain creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Darren sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Darren wants to get back to his feet but husssain is dominant here and he's now got Darren's back!

husssain is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Darren has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Darren manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Darren has his takedown stuffed

and husssain counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Darren!
husssain thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
husssain throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Darren is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Darren avoids the body shot from husssain.

husssain has closed the distance and engaged Darren in a clinch.

Darren has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but husssain regains guard immediately.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Darren drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and husssain dives on top into guard.

husssain wants to get up but he can't break Darren's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

husssain postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Darren pushes husssain off and gets back to his feet.

husssain shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Darren sprawls well. Darren wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. husssain gets slowly back to his feet.

and husssain counters with a nice double leg into side control. Darren won't be happy with that.

Darren kicks husssain off and gets back to his feet.

Darren keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
husssain shoots in but Darren avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
husssain distracts Darren with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
husssain looking to sit in guard and control but Darren gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Darren sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed husssain's guard.

husssain wants to control but Darren is keeping busy and won't allow it.
husssain wants to get back to full guard.
husssain is staying active underneath Darren, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
husssain is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Darren is trying to work for a kimura but husssain is defending well.
Darren prevents husssain from standing back up.
Darren wants to control but husssain is keeping him busy.
husssain avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Darren.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

so husssain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
husssain wants to stand but Darren has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
husssain content to stall in guard here.
husssain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darren works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
