The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hong throws out the jab.
Hong lands with a kick to the temple. St Pierre shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
St Pierre moves out of range of the strikes.
Hong looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hong scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
St Pierre shoots in and drives through. Hong sprawls well.
Hong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
St Pierre avoids the head kick by Hong.
St Pierre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
St Pierre is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hong is trying to escape and St Pierre transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hong is forced to tap! Nice work there by St Pierre! Very nice indeed!
