PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Sushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tra Fulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yoshi Sushi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tra Fulton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fulton throws a series of punches but Sushi moves out of range.
Sushi throws a head kick that misses.
Fulton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sushi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sushi misses with a low kick.
Fulton waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Sushi.
Fulton misses with a body shot.
Fulton throws a right and a left that Sushi avoids nicely.
Sushi defending well as Fulton loads up on a big left hand.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sushi.
Sushi slips a jab and a cross from Fulton.

Sushi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sushi pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Sushi just misses with a elbow thrown towards Fulton's brow.
Sushi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Fulton wants to break free but Sushi has control.
Fulton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sushi trying to control the position but instead, Fulton has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sushi into the ropes.
Sushi with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sushi lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Tra Fulton has been cut.
Sushi stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Fulton pushes off an throws an elbow but Sushi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sushi.
Sushi is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Fulton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sushi is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Fulton looks gassed!
Sushi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Fulton up against the ropes.
Fulton takes a knee to the side of the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sushi content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Fulton blocks the elbow strike.
Fulton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Sushi is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sushi lands an elbow inside that Fulton shrugs off.
Sushi landing knees to the body.
Fulton avoids the elbow strike from Sushi, against the ropes.
Sushi comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Sushi scores with a knee to the head.

That has opened up Tra Fulton's cut even more.
Sushi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Fulton is trying to break free.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Sushi throws an elbow but misses.
Sushi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Sushi lands a nice elbow.
Fulton takes an elbow to the temple.

The cut above Tra Fulton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sushi misses with a knee strike.
Fulton dodges an elbow strike from Sushi.

Tra Fulton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tra Fulton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
